VibeCheckUp App Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

A clear view of how your information supports your wellness journey.

This policy explains how the VibeCheckUp app handles information for students, parents, counselors, and other authorized users. VibeCheckUp provides wellness check-ins, support resources, communication, and notifications.

Information We Collect

We may collect information provided during registration and use of the app, such as name, email address, date of birth, account role, and profile details. We may also process check-in responses, mood information, messages, and support interactions that users choose to enter or send.

To operate app features, we may process device and notification tokens, technical and sign-in information, and call connection information. Camera and microphone access may be used when a user chooses an audio or video call.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide the app's role-based features, show check-ins and resources, deliver notifications, enable communication and calls, maintain security, resolve technical problems, and respond to requests from users or their authorized representatives.

Who Receives Information

Information a user sends through a communication feature is available to its intended recipient or participants. The app also uses technical service providers. Project records identify Firebase/Google services for sign-in and notifications, AWS-hosted services for the app backend, and Agora for audio/video calls. These providers may process information needed to deliver those functions.

Access within VibeCheckUp depends on the user's role and the feature used. Parents, counselors, school staff, or trusted adults may be involved in support features where the app permits it.

Young Users and Parents

VibeCheckUp is designed with young users in mind. Information about a young user's account and use of the app is handled according to the account's role, applicable permissions, and the requirements of the school or organization providing access. Parents or guardians can contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning a young user's information.

Security

We use measures intended to protect information, including access controls and secure connections. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet applicable obligations. Users can request deletion of their account and associated information through the app or our account deletion page. Some information may need to be retained for a limited period when required by law or to resolve a legitimate security issue.

Your Choices and Privacy Questions

Users or their authorized representatives can ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Please contact kfogg@gspartnerships.org.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest update.
